Last 18th and 19th of December, the kick off meeting of the European Assets4Rail project was held, in which AITEC participates. The objective of the project is to contribute to the objective of the Shift2Rail Innovation Program 3, which focuses on obtaining more profitable and reliable railway infrastructures.

This meeting continues with the different sessions. In the first place, presentations were presented by the participating companies, the objectives were clarified, a global description of the project was given and the results and the expected effects of the project are analyzed.

Subsequently, parallel work sessions were held for each of the two lines of work (WS1: Tunnels and bridges, WS2: roads, vehicles and safety systems). Throughout the sessions was analyzed each of the work packages, and became a work organization for the first tasks to be performed.

The second day of the meeting was a day in which a summary of the conclusions of the previous past was made for each of the lines of work, as well as the next step, synergies with previous projects of Shift2Rail, and talked about communication and dissemination activities, as well as, the way of working in the impact analysis part.

This kick off the meeting serves as a starting signal for the Assets4Rail project, in which it was possible to breathe a lot of desire on the part of the different partners to start with the different tasks in order to obtain a more profitable and safe railway system through the improvement of the maintenance of tunnels and bridges, and of a greater monitoring and analysis of rolling elements and tracks.

El pasado 18 y 19 de Diciembre, se realizó el kick off meeting del proyecto Europeo Assets4Rail en el que AITEC participa. El objetivo del proyecto es contribuir al objetivo del Programa de Innovación 3 de Shift2Rail, el cual se centra en la obtención de infraestructuras ferroviarias más rentables y confiables.

Esta reunión contó con diversas sesiones. En primer lugar, se realizaron presentaciones por parte de las empresas participantes, se aclararon los objetivos, se dio una descripción global del proyecto y se analizaron los resultados e impactos esperados del proyecto.

Posteriormente se hicieron sesiones de trabajo paralelas para cadA una de las dos líneas de trabajo (WS1: Túneles y puentes, WS2: vías, vehículos y sistemas de seguridad). A lo largo de las sesiones se analizó cada uno de los paquetes de trabajo, y se empezó a organizar el trabajo para las primeras tareas a realizar.

El segundo día de reunión, fue un día en el que se realizó un resumen de las conclusiones llegadas el día anterior para cada una de las líneas de trabajo así como de los siguientes pasos a seguir, se analizaron sinergias con proyectos anteriores de Shift2Rail, y se conversó acerca de actividades de comunicación y diseminación así como de la forma de trabajar en la parte de análisis de impacto.

Este kick off meeting sirve de pistoletazo de salida del proyecto Assets4Rail, en el que se pudo respirar muchas ganas por parte de los distintos socios de empezar con las distintas tareas con el fin de obtener un sistema ferroviario más rentable y seguro a través de la mejora del mantenimiento de túneles y puentes, y de una mayor monitorización y análisis de los elementos rodantes y de las vías.

Last 11th and 12th of December took place in Barcelona the kick off meeting of DIAMOND project in which AITEC participates with other companies.

AITEC is the technical coordinator of the project which objective is to analyze and convert information into useful knowledge to move towards an efficient and inclusive transport system for women.

In this meeting presentations were made by each of the participating companies in order to explain what tasks they perform and what responsibilities they have. Then, there was a session of LEGO Serious Play to clarify the tasks to be performed as well as to relate them to the established results.

Finally, Workshops were held to specify «Who does what» in future project tasks.

TINNGO project coordinator, Professor Andrée Woodcock, representing the Centre for Mobility and Transport of Coventry University, attended this kick off meeting in order to look for possible synergies between both projects that share the same theme and that have been financed by Horizon2020.

In conclusion, this meeting served to start the DIAMOND project as well as to solve some technical aspects and be able to start the planned tasks of each of the work packages.

El pasado 11 y 12 de Diciembre, se desarrolló en Barcelona el kick off meeting para iniciar el proyecto DIAMOND en el que participa AITEC junto con otras empresas.

AITEC es el coordinador técnico del proyecto cuyo objetivo es analizar y convertir datos en conocimiento útil para avanzar hacia un sistema de transporte eficiente e inclusivo para las mujeres.

En esta reunión se realizaron presentaciones por parte de cada una de las empresas participantes con el fin de explicar qué tareas realizan y qué responsabilidades tienen. Después hubo una sesión de LEGO Serious Play para aclarar las tareas a realizar así como relacionarlas con los resultados establecidos.

Para finalizar, se hicieron Workshops para concretar “Who does what” en próximas tareas del proyecto.

En este kick off meeting asistió la coordinadora del proyecto TINNGO, la profesora Andrée Woodcock representando al Centro de movilidad y Transporte de Coventry University, para buscar posibles sinergias entre ambos proyectos que comparten la misma temática y que han sido financiados por Horizon2020.

En conclusión, esta reunión sirvió para dar comienzo al proyecto DIAMOND así como para resolverse algunos aspectos técnicos y poder empezar las tareas planificadas de cada uno de los paquetes de trabajo.
