Dangerous goods are those material or object whose transport is forbidden according to ADR or authorized in the conditions that this foresee, in other words, dangerous goods are those goods that, in case of accident during its transport, can induce risk for the community, the goods and the environment, and whose conditions of transport are especially regulated.
The point 7.5.7 of ADR code for the transport of dangerous goods by road considers a proper stowage of goods when it is applied EN 12195-1:2010 standard.
This standard provides technical references to calculate the number of lashings and tightening tension in order to prevent unsafe movements of the packed goods
The responsibility for the proper stowage of goods is assigned by law to the loading site, but it is also interesting for the carrier that goods are properly stowed avoiding accidents and sanctions during the transport.
